anonmee

Safety comes first.

Anonymous does not have to mean unsafe. Here is exactly how Anonmee works to protect you.

Adults only

Anonmee is for people who are 18 or older. We ask for your date of birth when you sign up and check it on our server. We cannot verify ID, so age is self-declared. If anyone reports that someone seems under 18, that account is suspended straight away while we look into it.

What other people see

A random name that changes in every chat, your gender and your age. Never your email, username, name or date of birth. There are no photos and no profiles.

Report and block

Every chat and every group has a Report, Block and Leave menu. When you report someone, you are also blocked from each other, so you will never be matched again. The person you report is never told it was you.

What we do with reports

Reported messages are kept briefly so a person can review them. Several reports from different people send an account to review, and more suspend it until it is checked. Messages from finished one-to-one chats are otherwise deleted.

Text only

You cannot send photos, videos or files. That keeps chats lighter and removes a common way people are harassed.

If something feels wrong

Leave the chat. Block and report. Never share personal details, money or links to people you have just met. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency services.
